WHAT IS PAWNY?

PAWNY is an educational, scientific and professional organization whose purpose is to advance the science and profession of psychology in Western New York. PAWNY provides a basis for growth and association among practicing psychologists and informs the public about the profession and contributions of psychology.

WHAT DOES PAWNY DO FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS?

PAWNY supports and nurtures the professional development of psychologists in practice and of students aspiring to a psychological career through:

  • Dynamic, cutting edge continuing education seminars and workshops
  • Opportunities for networking
  • Social events, such as Happy Hours and our Annual Dinner
  • Active communication through our listserv

PAWNY serves as a focal point for the Western New York community of psychologists. We are a resource to learn about and address emerging issues of professional concern and controversy.

WHAT DOES PAWNY DO FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC?

PAWNY is proud to provide a searchable database of psychologists licensed in New York State who work and practice in WNY. You may search our membership by name, location, type of service desired or area of expertise.

Our ‘Find A Psychologist’ feature helps the public find well-qualified clinicians, researchers, academicians, speakers, and experts on specific subjects, issues or current events.
